With all the hype about Twilight I've broken down and decided to read the series. I hadn't even heard about it until Aug. A little out of the loop, I guess. I'll let you know what I think.
My name is Rita and I am a reader of the Twilight series...total guilty confession. If you choose to take the dive here are some tips for helping you get through: 1. Just keep imagining that you are a 16-year-old girl. 2. Try to ignore the fact that the author must not have had a thesaurus handy.
Well, I read the series too. Definitely take Rita's excellent advice. Pure escapism. No literary genius. Haven't seen the movie. Don't plan to. Somewhat embarrassed that Stepheny Meyers is a mormon - especially after the last book.
Yes you should! Don't be expecting Shakespeare, but be blown away how you can actually believe that a vampire might be hot! I think a person can "fall in love again" by reading that book. It revisits so many feelings one experiences when they're falling in love, especially as a teenager. It made me appreciate my Edward even more.........
Oh, thanks so much for the photo advice (see my blog!). Your tips were extremely helpful, I just need a happy baby!!!!

I am in the same boat as you...I'm not hot for it...I just want to know what all the fuss is about...
However, I can confirm one thing from a very reliable source: the movie is horrible !
I was going to start reading the books soon but...
On reflection, I'm going to wait for your opinion ! LOL

Rita,
Good advice...however it has been a long time since I was 16...I'm really gonna have to dig deep to get there...
The Bullknitter.
I suspected that the books would get more worldly over time...that is disappointing with a member of the church who is so high profile !
Wow, you haven't read the series, but your blog is already decked out? Must be pretty exciting . . . enjoy!
